These multifunctional products (MFP's) earned this commendation for their environmental friendly design and usage: they are low in energy consumption and CO2 emissions thanks to the new Induction Heating Technology and the polymerised HD toner.

Océ products span segment 4, business colour, and ran away with the prestigious awards in each category evaluated. Reliability was admirable for all three models, and each displayed very good overall image quality and ease of use. The Better Buys for Business report has summarised the Océ 3165E as an impressive networkable digital copier recommended as a "fine copier with upgrade potential". They have added, "Like most Océ copiers, the Océ 3165E boasts excellent productivity". In 2001, the award issuers wrote, "The Océ 3165E performed splendidly on our copier tests, operating at more than 90 per cent of rated speed on all four 20-set tests" in the high-volume copier and multi-functional category.
