Océ announces two new UK Quality Centre members

Brentwood, Essex, 26 March 2009– Océ, a world leader in digital print solutions, has announced two more Océ Quality Centres in the UK – Creeds and Severnprint.

They were awarded the official seal, which also includes benefiting from the Océ Business Development programme as part of sales and marketing activities, at a conference for Océ Quality Centre members held at Breadsall Priory Hotel and Country Club in Moorley, near Derby.

The Océ Quality Centre status is further recognition for Creeds Ltd, a long-established family printing business employing 15 people in Broadoak, near Bridport, which is already a member of the Guild of Master Craftsmen. “We are looking forward to benefiting and working with other Quality Centres to offer a range of first-class services to customers that need an accredited print supplier,” said Marilyn Harrison, one of the directors. “The contact with other print centres will also allow us to discuss best practice with other companies offering similar high quality service.”

Severnprint, which employs 65 people on the outskirts of Gloucester, knows that Océ’s low-emission printing systems will also complement its own ‘green’ credentials that go back to the 1990s and were further recognised by being placed in the top-50 green printers in The Sunday Times Top 50 Green Companies 2008. “We think that the first task of a business is to make sure that it becomes as efficient as possible in its use of energy,” said David Pealing, Sales and Marketing Director for Severnprint. “The Océ Quality Centre is like an exclusive user group that will give added assurances to our customers. This network will enable us to share information and will help us even further to provide a top quality service to our customer base in the Gloucester and surrounding areas.”

The Océ Quality Centres promote networking and shared business opportunities for leading-edge printers, which use Océ’s innovative digital printing systems and software, as well as successfully implementing its business development programme. The services include individual consulting, instructional courses and business workshops.

The ‘Océ Quality Centre’ seal is awarded to companies with a proven track record on the digital printing market. Print providers must also be prepared to expand their service portfolio on the basis of Océ solutions and market their services pro-actively to bring in new business. The ‘Océ Quality Centre’ brand indicates to potential clients that the provider delivers first-class products and services.

Steve Wilson, Director of Océ UK Ltd’s Production Printing Division, said: “We are delighted that Creeds and Severnprint have achieved the Océ Quality Centre status. This ‘seal of approval’ tells clients and potential clients that these companies deliver first class products and services. All of our centres represent a good geographic spread across the country. The network provides printers with the resources required to operate more efficiently; for example pooling specialised facilities or taking advantage of another printer’s delivery service.”
